Water, Electric, Gas and Sewer Annual Report System
Version 6.22, 2/2/2012
Notice (February 22, 2012) WEGSARS release 6.22 is now available for download and installation. A list of enhancements is available here. Please note that this is a client-only release: if this is your first installation this year, you must install the Full Installation with Database. If you are installing in a networked environment and already have the version 6.20 or later database in use on a shared server, you may choose the Client-Only Installation. If you are installing on a new machine that does not already have the 6.20 or later database available, please choose the Full Installation with Database. Notice (January 17, 2012) WEGSARS release 6.21 is now available for download and installation. A list of enhancements is available here. Please note that you have two installation options for this release: if this is your first installation of version 6.20 or 6.21, you must install the Full Installation with Database. If you are installing in a networked environment and already have the version 6.20/6.21 database in use on a shared server, you may choose the Client-Only Installation. If you are installing on a new machine and will not already have the 6.20/6.21 database available, please choose the Full Installation with Database. Your first installation of 6.21 will require you to replace the database. In order to recover your 2010 report(s), you may either download them from the PSC website (see below) or you may find them in your C:\PSC\WEGSARS\EXPORT directory. If you have multiple 2010 reports, you may find it easiest to copy them to C:\PSC\WEGSARS\IMPORT. Then, from the Main - Report Selection screen in WEGSARS, open the File menu, click on Import Report, then click on Load Batch. If you already installed version 6.20, there was a problem for most if not all users if you chose to RETAIN the database. If you have successfully installed version 6.20 and you are able to begin entering your 2011 report, you do not need to reinstall at this time.
Commission staff relies on utilities to provide accurate information within these reports as well as filed in a timely fashion. Staff uses the data contained within these reports in day-to-day activities. The annual reports allows the PSC to stream line processes and results in fewer questions to utilities if no report were filed. Annual Reports not being filed in a timely fashion results in more time spent by PSC staff for follow up phone calls inquiring as to why the report has not been received and also puts delay in other processes such as simplified rate cases, conventional rate cases, queries, remainder assessments, updated benchmark information, and in house databases, just to name a few. Effective immediately, for those utilities who are not up-to-date with their latest PSC annual report filing, all PSC regulatory processes for those utilities will be put on hold. A few examples includes the following to just name a few: - Rate Applications
