Wisconsin NXX Codes
Each telephone exchange area in the state is associated with an area code plus NXX codes,
or the first three digits of the telephone number. The North American Numbering Plan Administrator
(NANPA) keeps a current list of the NXXs assigned by area code including the owner of the NXX and the
switch where the NXX resides. You can go to the
NANPA web site and obtain the most recent
list of NXX assignments.
The NXX information on this link can be derived by area code within the state. The derived information
is available for download in an Excel spread sheet. Scroll down to the bottom of the page once the list
is available for viewing and click on the “Download Report to Excel File” box. This download will give
you the most current information of NXX assignments.
