History of the PSC
On July 9, 2007, the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin celebrates its 100th anniversary. As the nation’s first state to regulate utilities, the PSC has always been a leader in this ever-changing world of utility regulation.
From its inception as a railroad commission to its early efforts in promoting renewable energy to its current leadership role in identifying solutions to global warming, the PSC’s mission of progress and innovation shines as brightly today as it did 100 years ago.
