Biennial Budget for the State of Wisconsin and Public Service Commission of Wisconsin
On September 15, 2010, the Public Service Commission (PSC) submitted its request to the Governor for funding for fiscal years 2012 and 2013; The PSC's 2011-2013 Biennial Budget Request requests funding for the two-year period from July 1, 2011, through June 1, 2013, with each fiscal year being a July 1 through June 30 period. Funding is for cost-to-continue items only and covers projected costs of current operations. Funding for new initiatives is not requested. Current funding for the operation of the PSC was provided under the 2009-11 State Budget, enacted on June 29, 2009 as 2009 Act 28. A narrative history of PSC-related budget items considered during the 2009-11 Budget process can be viewed at the below link. This document identifies which entity (Agency, Governor, or Legislature) initiated the budget item, changes made to the item, and whether the item was eventually included in the final Budget.
